Fashion Week Milan 2014: Sunglasses XXL

The stars, at the end of the 2014 fashion week in Milan, were the glasses. Sunglasses star of Leitmotiv – formed by the Italian Fabio Sasso and Juan Caro Colombian brand – were received with great enthusiasm, and it did not pass unnoticed to anyone. The same applies to the rest of their creations.

Caro, a bogotano of 34 years of age, and Sasso, 36-year-old, both from the Visual Arts, were rated until recently as “promises of fashion” by Vogue Italy magazine, which assessed its loaded with color, ingenuity, and graphic designs.

This year they officially debuted in Milan with an own collection, promoted by the National Chamber of fashion in Milan, after having won a contest.

The paths of both met when they were studying. Caro graduated at the National Pedagogical Institute of Colombia and then studied painting at the Academy of fine arts of Bologna, Italy. Sasso, meanwhile, graduated in history of art in the same city. They met in 2008 when they were preparing their respective thesis. In a short time were launched with their knowledge, creativity and your enthusiasm in the world of fashion.

This fusion between the baroque of Fabio and artistic thoughts of John were determined that their work shows a constant research technique to create clothing and accessories between styles and classic themes – there are Gothic and Renaissance – topics with cutting-edge ideas.

“We like to generate conflict, doubts. There are wonderful ideas”, they say.

Thus arises Leitmotiv on its website: “is based on the comparison and Exchange that is born the universe Leitmotiv. The love of art and a taste for freedom outlined the way that Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso decided to go in 2007 and continues to the present day.

“Identify true emotions to make a mark that lasts in time and the beating of the heart: this is the philosophy that the duo wants to convey with Bolognese passion for his work and his constant metamorphosis”.

“The only goal is freedom and identity,” hold perpetrators.

Besides these Galactic glasses and his collection of clothes, Leitmotiv presented in Milan earrings, necklaces and bracelets XXL in his collection of accessories, while on your feet, the models led tip, thin-heeled shoes and sandals of all colors.

The set of its collections impresses by its originality and its colorful: sometimes, perhaps exceed the line that delimits the originality and extravagance, but it is known that designers always reserve a portion of their creations to more free imagination and used them to draw attention.

Leitmotiv has become a brand for the middle upper class, in partnership with Italian Furla and Borsalino, who value their inventiveness. In three years, brand increased its sales of 20 to 30% per season, multiplied its distribution network and boasts 130 points of sale around the world. Among other places, they have already come to China and Russia.

Reported by the Colombian press, following the footsteps of Caro in Europe, the firm produces all its articles in the prosperous region in the North of Italy, where you can still find small but sophisticated workshops of craftsmen to produce their parts. Your clothes ideas arise in trips, exhibitions, memories that creators assembled in a sort of “mosaic” images, working first hand and then go to the computer.
